Well, we have FINALLY managed to get some free time and get around to updating our website. Friends & Family day was this past Sunday. For anyone that missed it or couldn’t be a part, you have probably heard by now that we have set our third attendance record, having 110+ people in service for that Sunday morning! We have added pictures to the Photo Gallery and invite you to stop by and check them out.
The overall atmosphere of Friends & Family day was electric and we have heard nothing but positive feedback from everyone for that attended. We also enjoyed having our friends from Faith Works Ministries with us. Pastor Ray Darden and his wife Trina Darden were our special guests and they brought with them some of their own friends to service! Pastor Daren opened up the service with scripture and prayer, while his three sons (Brian, Marcus, and Anthony) ministered to us in song. Faith Works Ministries also joined us after service at our fellowship event at Lenora Park, where we had a great time of food, fellowship, and fun. The food was great, the ‘Cornhole’ Tournament was a blast, and thankfully the rain gave us enough of a window where everyone avoided getting soaked. We were concerned that the thought of rain would keep people away, but it didn’t stop anyone from coming! We quit counting at 120 people, even as more arrived!
Thanks to everyone that made the day so enjoyable and such a great success! We’ve got our Bowling Extravaganza come up on the 30th of this month! There is still time to sign up, but space is going fast. Make sure you stop by the Connection Desk to sign up so we can reserve for you a spot. You are not going to want to miss this! We also have the MP3 files of these sermons available for purchase in our Online Store, if you are interested in owning them. Also, don’t forget that Father’s Day is rapidly approaching! If you haven’t gotten a chance to get your ticket for our Father’s Day Gas Grill raffle (a grill valued at over $300!!!), then be sure to get one at the Connection Desk! This is a VERY nice grill!
